What a way to celebrate 2022 and enter 2023. Set in the new luscious location of Barunah Plains, Beyond The Valley was an unforgettable sensory experience that blended art, wellness and of course music all together in a four-day summertime utopia.

No day was the same, as the festival’s twists and turns kept ravers adventuring around the site — from the natural amphitheatre Main Stage that played host the likes of Aitch, Denzel Curry, Bicep (Live), KAYTRANADA and even Nelly Furtado, who returned from a five year solo performance hiatus.

The immersive Dance Dome offered a 70-metre wide LED wall and Funktion-One soundsystem, enabling DJs to throw out their sets at full force. Standout sets at the Dome included HAAi, Sally C and Honey Dijon to name just a few.

With the urge to let loose, people flocked to Dr. Dan’s stage for its multilevel dancefloor colosseum that drove a consistent vibe ideal for the hard-core raver.

On top of its star-studded line-up, exploring the site revealed some of Beyond the Valley’s hidden secrets — including the pools at the Beach Club, and through the concealed door of a portaloo the Schmall Klüb.

For countdown, most crowded around for Australia’s own Dom Dolla to transport us into 2023 whilst others huddled around a compelling set from Palms Trax.
