A brand new stadium-sized techno event is landing in Amsterdam in 2024, said to be “the world’s largest hard techno rave”, Verknipt ArenA.

The 40,000-capacity event is slated to go ahead for the first time on July 20, 2024, at the Johan Cruijf ArenA in Amsterdam, home to the Dutch national football team, AFC Ajax.

Verknipt is hosting the world’s biggest hard techno rave for 40,000 ravers,” the Amsterdam-based events company announced on Instagram last week.

The first show will go ahead all night long, running for 10 hours from 9:PM until 7:AM on July 21. The line-up is yet to be announced.

Verknipt ArenA is a new project from the team behind Verknipt, a hard techno party hosting events all over The Netherlands, recently branching out to cities including Budapest, Warsaw, and Oberhausen.

“Over the past three years we’ve truly seen a movement come up in the techno scene and we’re extremely excited about Verknipt’s leading role within it,” says Verknipt founder and co-owner Mer Hajbarati.

“With so much competition in this industry, it’s rewarding to see what you’re doing hitting the right spot with a large audience,” he added. “If you would’ve suggested a hard techno stadium show 3 years ago, you would’ve been laughed out of the room. But look at us now.”

First launched in 2012, Verknipt now runs an annual hard techno festival in Utrecht visited by more than 150,000 people each year.

Pre-sale tickets for Verknipt ArenA go on sale on October 25 at 2:PM (CET). General tickets go on sale at the same time on October 26. Pre-register here.
