The opening workshop will be hosted by Daniel Archer, Audio-Technica’s senior technical production specialist, set to focus on the basics of vinyl mixing.

Hosted by multi-disciplinary artist NikNak, the second workshop will have a specific focus on turntable culture and experimentation, with techniques such as scratching and cutting being taught in the session.

Radio Host and DJ Tina Edwards will host the final workshop, tying the sessions together with a masterclass on the effects of vinyl culture in fostering community ties through both radio and live shows, considering things like how to build an online presence, and how to bring unexpected sounds to the forefront.

The online series is the latest initiative by Saffron, the non-profit organisation with the goal of advancing gender equality in the music sector, creating safe spaces for marginalised groups to contribute to the industry.

Access to the sessions is free for Saffron Members, with individual tickets costing £8.30 for non-members. There is also a scheme to assist those unable to afford the session. To find out more information, click here.
