Victoria Monét has announced that she will no longer appear at several upcoming shows due to “ongoing health issues.”

The R&B artist shared on her Instagram story on Monday (May 21) that she is “gutted” to cancel her performances at New York’s Governors Ball, Nashville’s Blavity Festival and next weekend’s Roots Picnic in Philadelphia.

“I am gutted to share that I will no longer be able to perform,” Monét’s statement reads, adding: “I am so sorry!!”

She continues: “Candidly I have been dealing with some ongoing health issues that have to be addressed right now, but I will be back out there soon, that’s a promise! Please know it wasn’t an easy call but it’s definitely for the best.”

The statement confirms that all other shows will be “moving forward as planned” from July 27 with Broccoli City Festival, Washington as well as Lollapalooza, Chicago on August 1.

Monét’s only upcoming UK date announced so far is at London’s All Points East Festival on August 16 alongside, KAYTRANADA, Jyoty, Channel Tres and more.

It is unclear the exact health issues that the artist is currently facing, however, last month Monét shared – following her performance at Coachella – that she had been struggling with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).

According to The Independent, the artist posted at the time: “Welp.. I gained a lot of weight and it went a lot of places lol face, arms, tummy and most effectively… datassss.

“I usually am so critical and frustrated by it because PCOS has me really messed up, but optimistically at least now there’s two moons on the stage,” she jokily remarked.

This year has also seen Monét win three GRAMMY Awards which were Best R&B Album for her debut ‘Jaguar II’, Best Engineered Album and Best New Artist.

Her win for Best Engineered Album marked the first time a Black woman has ever won the award.
