Charli XCX has released a surprise extended version of her brand new 13-track record ‘brat’, featuring three additional tracks.

The new record was unveiled just days after the release of her latest album, which landed on Friday, June 7. The deluxe version was released today, June 10.

The extended edition was revealed in a livestream over the weekend when a billboard was slowly painted to reveal the words: ‘brat and it’s the same but there’s three more songs so it’s not’. Check it out below.

‘brat’ is Charli XCX’s first full lean into dance music, described by the singer as “aggressive and confrontational” with influence from London’s “illegal rave scene”.

In a new interview with The Guardian, she explained: “I’ve been told for so long that I’m an outsider and I never really felt accepted into the British music scene.”

She added: “I’m this girl who straddles the underground and pop music, and that, for some reason, is really difficult for some people to wrap their heads around.”

Charli XCX is set to head on tour across North and South America this month, hitting New York, Chicago, São Paulo, Mexico City, and more, with additional US and European dates slated for the end of 2024.
