With just over a week to go until Glastonbury 2024, you might be looking at what to pack for this year’s edition. A rain mac? Sun cream? Wellies? We’ve got you covered.

This year, Met Office forecaster Stephen Dixon is predicting a largely dry start to the festival with some possible rain later in the week, and “subdued temperatures” compared to our usual June expectations.

Speaking to the Independent, Dixon explained: “There is little sign for any one type of weather pattern to dominate during this period. As such, typical conditions for the UK are most probable with a mixture of weather types.”

The current Met Office forecast for the week ahead predicts mostly sun and cloud with highs of up to 21 degrees, meaning the grounds should stay dry until the festival gates open.

“All areas can expect to see some spells of drier, sunnier weather, but there will also be showers or longer spells of rain at times,” Dixon explains.
