VNCCII, the digital avatar alias of Australian singer-songwriter Samantha Tauber, has unveiled a brand new single titled ‘Hyper Drive’.

Hyper Drive’ landed today, July 26, entirely produced, written, and vocalised by VNCCII with additional mixing and mastering from GRAMMY Award-winning engineer Luca Pretolesi.

VNCCII is the metaverse musician and alias of Samantha Tauber, the Australian-born, London-based artist behind multidisciplinary projects spanning animation, AI, game design, and live music, often blurring the lines between each.

“My live shows are a layered blend of visuals on LED volume, utilising animated, pre-recorded, and live motion capture generated in Unreal Game Engine,” VNCCII explains.

“I also use a layered blend of holographic visuals, live triggered visuals and auditory events, real-time visualisation, as well as my live presence in costume as the embodiment of my virtual Superheroine avatar, VNCCII.”

Using VR, augmented reality, spatial computing, and game developing tool Unreal Game Engine, VNCCII’s performances promise a step into an “emotional, immersive world”.

Alongside the release of her new single, VNCCII has also announced a brand new project in the form of a debut novel, an “epic space opera” exploring alternate human worlds.

The science fiction novel will be released soon, VNCCII has revealed, marking the launch of her new multimedia science fiction franchise.

“As a member of the Interstellar Foundation and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, I hope that I can use my creativity to bring a real-world positive impact,” she says.

“Creativity has the power to inspire, empower, and allow a process of self-discovery and connection to the shared universal human experience.”
