Mixmag and The Smirnoff Project presented by Smirnoff Lemon Pop have launched season 2 of the global edition of our legendary DJ streaming series – The Lab – with multiple events across different Indian cities throughout the year. With parties in Mumbai, Bangalore, Gurgaon, Goa, Hyderabad, Kolkata & Indore – featuring the best Indian and international talent – with a strong focus on inclusivity and diversity.
The Lab is our flagship series where the planet’s biggest DJs and red-hot newcomers play an intimate set for local fans – which is streamed to millions around the world. Previous Lab locations over the years include London, New York, LA, Atlanta, Miami, Mumbai, Paris, Johannesburg and Sydney – with the likes of Carl Cox, Black Coffee, Solomun, The Martinez Brothers, Peggy Gou, Charlotte de Witte, Black Motion, Disclosure and Jamie Jones all laying down legendary sets that have made dance music history.
The Lab India 2023 season saw the iconic property travel across the country to 7 cities, with the best of International acts like Nastia, Øostil, Polaroid, Kilimanjaro, etc and Indian artists like Monophonik, Praveen Achary, DJ Ishani & many more, mesmerising audiences everywhere they went.
We couldn’t be more excited to return to one of the largest and most exciting electronic music scenes – India – in partnership with The Smirnoff Project presented by The Smirnoff Lemon Pop and their “We Do We” campaign which champions the power of collective unity and advocates for a more inclusive society where individual differences are celebrated rather than marginalised. By fostering a spirit that transcends cultural, social, and geographical boundaries, The Smirnoff Project presented by The Smirnoff Lemon Pop aims to build a movement that inspires and unites people from all walks of life.
The Lab launches in three cities on September 07 / 14 / 21. More Labs and locations will be revealed very soon.
