Ocaso is the fledgling festival finding its home in the coastal jungles of Costa Rica – a brand new event now in its third year serving as a paradisiacal retreat for ravers across the globe. Pulling in a cross-continental line-up each edition, Ocaso is soundtracked by some of dance music’s most sought after, this year boasting headline sets from Solomun, Michael Bibi, and Chloé Caillet, to name a few.

This year, Ocaso Festival took place from January 6 – 9 across five sun-drenched days. From its unique beachside stage hosting afterparties against the backdrop of Costa Rica’s charming sunrises to the festival’s intimate all-night jungle parties, Ocaso also hosts its own purpose-built stage in the nearby town of Tamarindo allowing locals to check out its wide selection of artists heading in from all over the world.

Newcastle’s Michael Bibi kicked things off with a storming tech-house set, followed by a takeover from Bob Moses who amped up the crowd with his signature sonics. Headliner Solomun stepped up for a huge 12-hour set keeping the crowd on their toes until mid-morning, a final call to the dancefloor for early-hours ravers.
