Legendary Berghain bouncer Sven Marquardt has made a cameo in the next Keanu Reeves-starring John Wick film.

Landing in cinemas in the US on Friday, John Wick: Chapter 4 features several short appearances from Marquardt who says just one line throughout the film, “I am Klaus”.

The next film in the John Wick series follows the title character as he attempts to take on ‘The High Table’, travelling across the world from New York to Paris and Berlin, where he encounters Marquardt.

In Berlin, the film features a fight scene in an enormous Berghain-esque nightclub with ceiling-to-floor water features and multiple rooms littered with art installations.

A synopsis for the film reads: “John Wick uncovers a path to defeating the High Table. But before he can earn his freedom, Wick must face off against a new enemy with powerful alliances across the globe and forces that turn old friends into foes.”

The Berghain legend plays the character of John Wick’s associate who helps him to find a villainous character whom he’s told to kill.

Elsewhere, John Wick: Chapter 4 recruits the likes of songstress Rina Sawayama, as well as Keanu Reeves, Donnie Yen, Halle Berry, Bill Skarsgård, and Laurence Fishburne.

The film’s soundtrack also enlists a number of big names, including French electronic duo Justice, techno producer Gesaffelstein, and a track from starring actress Rina Sawayama.

In January, Marquardt made an appearance in the new fashion campaign from Berlin clubwear designer 44 Label Group, sporting a hoodie reading ‘RAVE NEW WORLD’.

The doorman and photographer posed for the fashion shoot and a video, where he can be seen wearing the new AW23 collection from 44 Label Group.
