Danielle Moore, lead vocalist and frontwoman of Crazy P, has died aged 52, the group have confirmed.

In a statement posted on social media earlier today (September 2), Crazy P confirmed that Danielle Moore had passed away last week in “sudden and tragic circumstances”.

“We are devastated to announce the unbelievable and shocking news that our beautiful Danielle Moore has died,” they wrote. “This happened on Friday afternoon August 30th.”

They added: “We cannot believe the news ourselves and we know it will be the same for all of you. She gave us so much and we love her so much. Our hearts are broken.”

Hailing from Manchester, Danielle Moore was one of the most prolific female vocalists in dance music in the UK, performing as part of Crazy P for the past 20 years.

“We need time to process that this has happened. Danielle lived a life driven by love compassion community and music. She lived the biggest of lives,” her bandmates wrote. “We will miss her with all our hearts.”
