South African gqom pioneer DJ Lag is set to embark on a world tour starting this month, hitting every single continent throughout the next 10 months.
Kicking off in India’s Bangalore, the Alpha-Zulu tour will see DJ Lab head from India to Africa, then North America and Europe — before heading to Asia, South America, and Australia later in the year.
“Alpha-Zulu (A-Z) represents something that goes from start to finish and this tour is about performing, collaborating and recording on every continent,” says DJ Lag on the newly announced tour.

“I want to blend genres and create new sounds along the way. It is going to be about exploring and experimenting on stages and studios from Mumbai to Miami to Accra and many more in-between.”
After seven years of touring, DJ Lag says that this is his “first chance” to share with his audience the goings-on behind the scenes, and hopes to stop off along the way to collaborate and make new music.
“This year is all about touring, collaborating, recording and releasing music from all over the world,” he added. “There is a lot I am looking forward to on this tour, including outside the music! Like finding the best barber in the world!”
