Mancunian-Colombian producer Florentino has enlisted three artists to remix his 2023-released single featuring Shygirl, ‘Pressure’.

Pressure Remixes’ landed today, October 3, marking a year since the release of his acclaimed five-track EP ‘Kilometro Quinze’ on XL Recordings.

The remix pack enlists the likes of DJ Ramon Successo, who supplies frantic baile funk energy on his ‘Pressure Funk’ remix, while MJ Nebreda and Alan Vega step up with a joint ‘Pressure Cumbia’ rework, bringing a Latin twist to the original track.

Speaking on the latter track, Florentino explains: “Alan Vega might be a new name to some but having grown up hearing Cumbia from an early age, I can tell he’s about to contribute to the genre on a very important level.”

“Having him pair up with MJ Nebrada for the remix, an artist I have a huge respect for, is nothing short of an honour. MJ I feel is already making waves and it feels like she’s on her way to stardom.”

Calling DJ Ramon Successo the “real star of bubble funk AKA Beat Bolha”, Florentino explains that it’s a “privilege” to have him contribute to the ‘Pressure’ remix pack.

“In true fashion, Ramon Succeso brings the Bolha energy on his flip of ‘Pressure’,” he says. “Having already had the opportunity to work with a funk legend like MC Bin Laden, I feel extremely privileged to have the first official remix from Ramon, another funk legend that’s entered the limelight in recent years.”

‘Pressure’ featuring Shygirl originally appeared on Florentino’s XL debut, ‘Kilometro Quinze’, in October 2023. The record featured collaborations with DJ Python, BAMBII, and more.
