The annual International Music Summit (IMS) in Ibiza have announced Grimes as its keynote speaker.
Running across three days at the end of the month, IMS will close with a speech from the artist on the topic of artificial intelligence, music technology and the metaverse.
Previously taking on this closing speech has included the likes of the Pet Shop Boys, Nile Rodgers and George Clinton.

The theme for the 14th edition of the summit will be “Face The Future”, and among the topics that will be under discussion will be AI, ageism in the industry, music rights management, web3, neurodiversity and journalism.
This year’s IMS will be co-hosted by Pete Tong and Jaguar with more talks from likes of SHERELLE, Fabio & Grooverider, Elijah, Fat Tony, TOKiMONSTA, LP Giobbi and Warner Music’s CEO Max Lousada.
IMS co-founder and lead curator Ben Turner has said: “Grimes is one of the most important, impactful and creative artists of our times. A true visionary – sonically, lyrically, philosophically….and then there’s that angelic voice.

IMS will have performing at its annual Dalt Vila event CamelPhat and ANNA as well as back-to-back sets from Pete Tong b2b Kölsch, Ida Engberg b2b Marshall Jefferson and more.
