Brussels-based underground arts and music festival Horst has announced the first artists playing at its tenth anniversary line-up.

The Belgian festival has enlisted Ben UFO, DJ Nobu, Juliana Huxtable and JASSS, a special Octo Octa drum ‘n’ bass set, Skream and Benga, upsammy, Kiernan Lavaeux and more for its 2024 edition.

Horst’s reputation as a festival that pays as much attention to its DJs as its decoration, blending arts, architecture and music into one, is set to continue at Aviat Park next year, albeit under a new direction. Graphic designers Ronny & Jonny concluded their work with the Brussels-based festival last year, celebrating their final year with an eye-catching collaboration with Delta Light.

In between last year’s festival in March, the site has hosted the Horst Arts & Music Club since October 27, with “warmly welcoming and wonderfully weird nights” to continue until March 2024. DJs such as Craig Richards, GiGi FM, Jam City, Le Motel, Moxie and more have already been welcomed to the venue, with performances from Kode9, Marie Montexier and more set to take place before Horst returns to its festival roots in late spring.

The festival will take place from Thursday, May 9 till late Saturday May 11, kicking off festival season. Last year’s edition hosted highlight performances from Bitter Babe, BLUMITSU, Calibre, dBridge b2b Donato Dozzy, Evian Christ, SASS (Moxie, Peach, Saoirse and Shanti Celeste) and more for one of the festivals of 2023.

Originating in 2014 on the site of Horst Castle, Holsbeek, the festival has risen to become an internationally recognised platform that celebrates cutting-edge electronic music and inventive in-situ art and architecture. 2019 saw the festival move to Asiat Park to continue and expand on its tradition of reimagining urban spaces
