Leeds’ Junior Simba has shared his new single, ‘Head Round’, via his Simba Sounds label.
The record comes hot on the heels of a recent release via Jaguar’s UTOPIA, ‘Stick With Me (like you said you would)’ and ‘Channel Z’ with Kilimanjaro, which has proved a pivotal cut on dancefloors even months ahead of its release.

‘Head Round’ takes an introspective turn, whilst maintaining Simba’s knack for creating club-focused, unique cuts.
It boasts an endearing topline and a contrastingly thundering bass – almost brassy in its nature – with playful, yet meaningful, lyricism interlaced.
“With ‘Head Round’ I wanted to take a stripped back approach to my writing,” Simba tells Mixmag. “A strong driving bass, a few percussion and drum elements, all complimented by the vocals that bring out emotion in me. The words ‘do you want me’ that play from the start and then come in and out of the track are what I like to think of as an insight into what goes on in my head, struggling to fit in and stuff. Like most of my tracks, ‘Head Round’ is another part of my internal dialogue, soundtracked by dancefloor beats.”
