Carré is set to release an EP titled ‘Soft Fascination’ through the newly launched label arm of Fast At Work, the Los Angeles-based party series she co-founded.

The five-track inaugural outing lands on March 1, featuring three new tracks from Carré, backed with remixes from Priori and James Bangura on the flip. Lead cut ‘Glowing’, which submerges off-kilter percussion in murky bassweight, is out now digitally.

The style reflects the heads-down atmospherics Fast At Work has become synonymous with since launching in 2021. Co-founded by Carré, SAMWISE, Seyer and Maxfield Frieser, the crew has invited the likes of livwutang, Darwin, Aquarian and Black Rave Culture to play alongside residents at its DIY parties.

Speaking about the release, Carré said: “Fast At Work has always been about creating a platform for our crew and community to experience the left-field music we love in uniquely produced environments that exude a sense of DIY creativity. The label and EP are deeply personal to me for this reason and came together in the same organic way as everything else.

“‘Glowing’ and ‘Cute Mad’ were produced around the same time and never felt like they could fit on the same EP, but when I finished ‘Soft Fascination’ I knew that I had accidentally created a cohesive body of work that could lead the label.

“Priori and James Bangura immediately came to mind for remixes as they’re two of our team’s favorite producers and have played for us before. I am so proud of this release and our team for putting in the hard work to build Fast At Work into the vibrant community it is today.”

It follows her debut EP ‘Titled’ on SPE:C which arrived last year, as did her contribution to UFO Parfums’ 15-track ‘165 BPMs’ compilation, ‘How to Cause a Distraction’.
