A new record store named Haunted Dancehall has opened in Manchester.

Located on the second floor of Wellington House across from Ashton Canal, the shop includes a range of vinyl from new to second-hand.

Records currently up for sale run through a spectrum of genres from drum ‘n’ bass to ambient with names such as Dimitri From Tokyo, Ben Sims, Generali Minerali and many more.

One particular EP up for grabs is Jonny Rock’s ‘DISPUTE01’ released via the sister label of the store Dispute Records.

Dispute Records has also released its very-own zine with the third available here that includes interviews by WomenSaid, object blue, Burka Band and Silent Servant as well as music reviews on new releases.

The inspiration for the name of the store came from The Sabres Of Paradise’s 1994 album of the same name.

The Sabres Of Paradise were a London trio who included artists Jagz Kooner, Gary Burns and Andrew Weatherall.

Haunted Dancehall is open from Tuesday to Saturday and a catalogue of records is available to check out on the shop’s website.

Last month a new record store opened on a canal boat on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal.

Taking 15 years to put together Rubber Ducky Records is located between Leeds and Manchester but owner Myles Greenwood plans to take the boat all over the UK via canal waterways.
