Netflix has released a new trailer for the final season of Top Boy, which is set to land on the platform next month.

The fifth season – also known as Netflix’s third season – stars Ashley Walters, Kane ‘Kano’ Robinson, Little Simz, Jasmine Jobson, Saffron Hocking, Adwoa Aboah and Araloyin Oshunremi among others.

With the words “No. Loose. Ends.” surrounding the new season, the trailer description reads: “Sully takes charge, pushing Dushane to cash out, but with a new order comes new challenges, threats, and consequences.”

A scene repeatedly shown throughout the trailer includes a riot between the community and the police with petrol bombs setting a police car alight.

“Just know that we are fucking linked,” Sully tells Dushane in the trailer. “If I fail, we don’t make no money. Ain’t no going back from this one.”

The trailer’s final line states: “That road don’t end good.”

Kano and Walters, who play Sully and Dushane as well as work being executive producers of the show, said they are “very excited about what’s next” when announcing the final season earlier this year.

“Whilst the journeys of Dushane and Sully have remained at the core of the show, the new characters that have entered the world of Top Boy have become a key part of the show’s legacy,” they said in a statement. “Representing each new storyline in a raw, authentic way.

“With all this being said, and staying true to our original goal, every story must have an ending and so season three will be our finale. A chance to come full circle and end the journey in the right way.”

Most episodes of the show are available on Netflix, including one non-Netflix produced season which was originally aired on Channel 4.

The last season of the show was titled Season 2 on the platform, although it was technically the fourth season. These first two seasons, produced by Channel 4, have since been renamed Top Boy: Summerhouse by Netflix.

The final season of Top Boy is out on Netflix on September 7. Watch the trailer below.
