Oneohtrix Point Never and John Medeski are scoring a new Nathan Fielder and Benny Safdie series

A new Nathan Fielder and Safdie brothers TV series, The Curse is being scored by Oneohtrix Point Never and jazz keyboard player John Medeski.

Daniel Lopatin aka. Oneohtrix Point Never has previously worked scoring Josh and Benny Safdie’s films Good Time and Uncut Gems.

Best known for his comedy series’ Nathan For You and The Rehearsal, Nathan Fielder’s next venture in Safdie’s The Curse will also star Oscar winning actress Emma Stone.

The show will also have producer Randall Dunn working on the soundtrack who posted on Instagram an image of Medeski, Fielder and Benny Safdie sat together.

SHOWTIME describes the upcoming series as “a genre-bending scripted comedy that explores how an alleged curse disturbs the relationship of a newly married couple as they try to conceive a child while co-starring on their problematic new HGTV show.”

Lopatin also posted on Instagram an image of the group in the studio with the caption: “let’s face it tv stinks! not anymore folks meet a few of the hot hunks bringing you ‘THE CURSE’ sometime sooner than later”.

Last summer, Oneohtrix Point Never released a synth-heavy,experimental remix of The Weeknd’s ‘Dawn FM’ on which he also worked as a composer, keyboardist, lyricist and programmer on.

The Curse has no release date just yet.
