An event due to go ahead last night (February 19) in London featuring a DJ set from Danny Rampling and far-right activist James O’Keefe was cancelled last minute by venue owners.

OMEARA called off the event just hours before it was due to take place, following calls for its cancellation by climate activist group Fossil Free London.

The event was set to go ahead yesterday as the “unofficial afterparty” of the Jordan Peterson-founded Alliance for Responsible Citizenship (ARC) conference featuring controversial figures like Nigel Farage and Peter Thiel.

According to Fossil Free London, the conference also included talks from the president of the Heritage Foundation, the group who created far-right donor-backed Project 2025, a 900-page policy “wish list” for Trump’s second term.

Acid house originator Danny Rampling appeared at the conference during the day, where figures from the Trump administration also spoke. He called it a “really insightful and empowering” event.

In an Instagram post shared by Fossil Free London yesterday, the activist group made a call to shut down the afterparty, writing: “Sickeningly, they’re getting together for an ‘unofficial’ afterparty at the Southwark nightclub OMEARA on Wednesday night where DJs Danny Rampling and James O’Keefe are said to be showcasing ‘The new sounds and styles of an unstoppable subculture’.”

In a flyer seen by Resident Advisor, the event was billed as an “electrifying evening of music, dancing, and general high jinks” hosted by club promoter Matthew Glamorre, featuring “a heated cigar terrace with cask-aged whiskies”.

Fossil Free London shared an update on Instagram last night, writing: “The venue Omeara has pulled out from hosting Jordan Peterson’s ARC’s unofficial after party, leaving attendees scrambling to find out where the new venue is going to be.”

Right-wing journalist Andy Ngo posted on Twitter shortly after, explaining that the event had been relocated. He shared a video of James O’Keefe performing a DJ set, though it’s unclear whether Danny Rampling also played.
