Sónar Lisboa returns to the Parque Eduardo VII for its third edition, and it has just announced its first set of artists who will play in 2024.

The festival, taking place between March 22-24 next year, will feature Sónar by Day, with a mixture of indoor and outdoor stages, and Sónar by Night, entirely concentrated in the Pavilhão Carlos Lopes’ indoor stage with non-stop music all night long.

The day festivities will fall on March 23 and 24, while Sónar by Night occurs on March 22 and 23.

Sónar Lisboa 2024 will celebrate artists who blur the lines between club music and pop such as Sevdaliza, Eliza Rose and Shygirl, bringing her new concept show ‘ClubShy’. Joining the trio will be 2manydjs, who return after a rousing performance at Sónar Lisboa 2023, Bonobo, CC:DISCO!, DJ Gigola, Grove and Florentino.

2manydjs will perform with Glasgow’s Éclair Fifi and London Erol Alkan in what promises to be an epic affair. The Portugese festival will also host live performances from Hudson Mohwake and Tiga’s collaborative AV project Love Minus Zero, Oneohtrix Point Never, Wata Igarashi and more.

There will also be a spotlight on local talents, with selector Chima Isaaro joined by XEXA, Moullinex + GPU Panic and Supa b2b Ghetthoven amongst the first local artists announced for next year’s event.

To date, Sónar has organised over 100 festivals in 35 cities across the world, with next year also seeing the festival series pitch its tents at Barcelona, where it was founded, and Istanbul.
