Sónar releases first 70 names for its 31st Barcelona festival line-up

The first 70 shows and activities of Sónar Barcelona 2024 have been announced in a line-up that pledges to cover the entire spectrum of contemporary electronic music, enlisting artists, DJs, performers and more from a wide range of genres.

The first line-up announcement includes headliners Kaytranada, Jessie Ware, Ben Böhmer live, Floating Points, Charlotte de Witte presenting ‘Overdrive’, Vince Staples, Casisdead, Folamour A/V, Toya Delazy, Kerri Chandler, The Martinez Brothers, Reinier Zonneveld live, Olof Dreijer, Marie Davidson, Surgeon & Speedy J and TOMMY CASH.

The 2024 edition of the long-running Barcelona festival will feature radical choreography and innovative scenography with performances from Preston-born artist and choreographer Blackhaine, Lee Gamble’s ‘Models’ project and Spanish performance artist Candela Capitán.

Sónar Barcelona 2024 will start on Tuesday, June 11, with the second edition of +RAIN Film festival, which runs until June 12. The electronic music festivities begin on June 13 and end on Sunday, June 15.

The latest edition of the Barcelona festival will also host Sónar+D, the international meeting of art, science, and digital culture hosted by Sónar during its festival. The talks, demos, workshops, exhibitions and more invite technologists, creatives, musicians, designers, thinkers, scientists and entrepeneurs for its “anti-disciplinary event.”

The festival series has pitched its tents across the globe since its inception in 1993, hosting events at Bogotá, Hong Kong, Istanbul, Lisbon, and Reykjavik.
