The Berlin-based sub-label provides resources to artists, producers, and writers, and hoped to connect a “wide network” of musicians with a goal to create a “significant cultural impact”, they explained.

“Electronic music as a genre has never been as potent as it is today,” says Sony Music’s Jean-Sebastien Permal. “We recognized the need to provide a home for artists with a strong and unique musical and visual identity.”

The sub-label will be headed up by Permal, Sony Music’s Vice President of A&R for Europe & Africa. Permal will take the lead on A&R and strategy at noted. records.

The first release on the imprint comes from techno dynamo and former Mixmag cover star Anfisa Letyago with her brand new single ‘Feelin’’, a techno cut incorporating her own vocals.

“‘Feelin’ marks my debut track with Sony, making it truly special,” she says. “I feel the groove of ‘Feelin’’ commands the dancefloor, while its beat carries a hint of darkness, creating a trance-like embrace.”

The new single marks the first release of a forthcoming record from Anfisa, with more details yet to be announced. “We are thrilled to have Anfisa Letyago as our first signed artist and are incredibly ambitious about her project,” Permal says.
