Glasgow-based DJ and producer TAAHLIAH is set to release her debut album this autumn via untitled (recs), ‘Gramarye’.

The record is set to land on October 18 featuring 11 new tracks, said to be a “vulnerable and confessional offering” seeing the use of her vocals for the first time.

“I always knew this record would somehow inhabit my emotions,” she says on the forthcoming album. “‘Angelica’ was about my body, whereas ‘Gramarye’ is about my mind.”

The first single from the new record, ‘Boys’, is out now after debuting as the opening track in her 2022 Boiler Room set. It marks TAAHLIAH’s first release since her collaborative 2022 single with Loraine James, ‘Fuck It!’.

‘Boys’ is a continuation of her debut, club-focused EP ‘Angelica’, featuring vocals from Elouiza. Listen to it below.

“It’s incredibly cheeky,” TAAHLIAH says of her latest single. “‘Boys’ was one of those songs you make in an hour then leave alone for 3 years.”

“Since its conception, I knew it was going to be the introduction into this new world I’ve been creating over the past couple of years. It is the song everyone wants an ID on, it is the song everyone wants to know about.”

‘Gramarye’ fuses acoustic and electronic elements across 11 tracks with inspiration from live music and bands, and includes references to artists like Title Fight and Caroline Polachek.

The record also pulls inspiration from her recent collaboration with London Contemporary Orchestra where she performed a headline show at the Southbank Centre.
