Michael Bibi’s surprise appearance at Solid Grooves’ closing party in Ibiza has been released in full. Watch it back here.

Last month, Bibi surprised fans with his return to the White Isle after more than 100 days of cancer treatment, taking to the decks for the first time since announcing his cancer diagnosis in June and cancelling all upcoming gigs.

The DJ, producer, and co-founder of Ibiza party and label Solid Grooves teased his return to the stage on Instagram shortly before the closing party on September 28, sharing a photo from a plane that same day.

In a new video, which shows his return to the club and a heartwarming reaction from fans and loved ones as he steps back onto the stage, Bibi plays out a thank you message to his fans explaining: “Thank you from the bottom of my heart to every single person who’s been part of this journey”.

Bibi goes on to play for the next hour, pulling out tunes from the likes of Butch, Jay de Lys, and some of his own unreleased music, before closing out on Technotronic’s ‘Pump Up The Jam’.

In June, Bibi announced that he had been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer known as (CNS) lymphoma which is found in the brain and spine.

The 33-year-old left hospital in September after completing his main treatment, telling fans: “Tired but happy…My fight against cancer is not over…but for now a break & some extra time to enjoy life.”

Yesterday he poted on X, formerly Twitter, writing: “knowing that I still have to go back into hospital to continue with aggressive cancer treatment after such a beautifully brief moment of freedom is a very hard pill to swallow.”

Bibi’s emotional set at Solid Grooves’ closing party is available to watch back in full now. Check it out below.
