Yumbs selects his favourite amapiano hits currently on rotation

At just 21 years old, Kagiso-born superproducer Yumbs has got off to a flying start with his career. His credentials stack up when you look back at his last few years, from producing tracks for some of the most booked-up DJs in amapiano to releasing his multi-platinum album ‘Ivy League’ in 2021, hosting a show on BBC Radio 1 Xtra, and rubbing shoulders with the who’s who of South African dance music.

Recently tipped off by Major League Djz when selecting the next best artists emerging out of South Africa and giving him a nod for his “versatile” style, Yumbs is stacking up to be one of the most exciting producers in a pool of talented artists, pummelling out a regular spread of new music while giving a helping hand to the big stars of today.
