DJing Live – Emergency Loops – get out of sticky situations live

As we talked about yesterday, the link cable connecting both CDJS dropping out mid DJ set resulting in an emergency loop is a nightmare for most people and the majority freeze like a deer in headlights and don’t know what to do, so if this happens to you, firstly take a breath, relax, then reload the USB and load a track into the deck not looping and mix in asap. Then you can reload a new track into the player that looped, but personally I always suggest taking in a second USB as, if your link cable has dropped out once, it could easily drop out again, so you want to get a USB into each player as quickly as possible.
